Happy St Georges Day

Wishing you all a Happy St Georges Day, patron Saint of England.

The St Georges Day flag is a red cross on a white background, it was adopted in the twelfth century by the city of London, to put on their ships entering into the meditteranean, to save them from the genoese sailors, or so I understand having just googled wikipedia, I am not the fount of all knowledge on St George!
St George was said to be a soldier from Syria, who introduced christianity into europe, and became a christain martyr.

I think most people associate St George with the slaying of a Dragon, which is almost certainly a myth, but has fired peoples imagination over the centuries.

A rallying cry, associated with him is cry God for Harry, England and St George, before a battle.
