Last night was a Cake and create night at our house , the usual crafters turned out in force, zoe, katie, laura and myself.
We gathered with our cans at the ready to make lanterns,

Hammers were hammered , designs were chosen and the banging began, with bradawl or nails,everyone was soon underway, making outdoor lanterns. There was much laughter at Zoe who put hers up to her ears as earrings and made us all laugh. Later when the design was hammered out, a beaded wire was strung along the top. Then the camera was out, taking pictures of them all aglow and cheerful in the darkness. What a lovely and fun night it was. We had tea, coffee, herbal tea and chocolate covered doughnuts.
The last photo is a glass lantern with a rope handle and beads and ribbons, made by zoe from a jar of cockles, .....don,t ask...all i am saying.
