Sam our faithfull dog and friend

This is a loving tribute to our faithful and loving dog sam, who died on the 2nd july. We had had him since he was 10 months old from the rescue centre, he was mischevious from the first minute to the last. A dog with a real personality, he didnt need to speak, the look in his eyes, his head on the corner of the settee when he wanted to go out. The excitement when a beer can was opened so he could lick a drop off your finger.

His patch was the garden, it was his domain, he didnt like birds, cats , anyone to trespass or he would bark and chase them off. He could be a bully boy, but so affectionate. His favourite toys was his Boycie  a yellow squeaky toy,well, that is until he broke it and the squeak fell out.
He was known for nicking all the underwear off the radiators and airer, shredding any tissue dropping from your sleeve, racing past you in the hall to dive under the bed, often taking a slipper with him. But Oh how we loved him and miss him.
He died peacefully with us all who knew and loved him, in HIS GARDEN, the sun shone the roses were out, and we whispered words of love till he died.
He was nearly 16 years old and is buried in a tiny plot in the garden, mourned and missed. To end this eulogy with a smile, one of his last acts was to eat the pink icing and fruitcake which he nicked , and was part of martin and lauras wedding cake!! Sam you were a cracker, it makes me cry just to write this, but i told you that i loved you, as we all did, we looked after you and you will always be remembered.
