60 Glorious Years

What a fantastic celebratory mood for those who love the Monarchy. We watched the pageant on the River Thames in London with our friends on their latge TV screen.
It was fantastic, boats tooting their horns, bells clanging, shouts from the crowds..tremendous.

Here is the Queen and Prince Philip aboard the Royal Barge sailing up the river Thames.

Union Jack at our celebrations
Below celebratory memorabillia from the Silver Jubilee
These  photos and mugs and coins are from our friends collection of Royal memorabillia .Some photographs are of the silver Jubilee celebrations in Colwich in 1977 where she and her dog Sally won a rosette for the best dressed Dog.So nice to see.

The Queen mark II hosted the celebrations on TV, with cake and sandwiches, note the dinky poised finger.

Another Queen for the day with a make do crown on her head, note the pose yet again, our Laura.
These pair of ours came in out of the rain and joined us for a while as we watched the Royals.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST......me posing in front of the tv to look as if I was there, who knew I wasnt?

Good times with Good friends is what life is all about, and although we watched it on Tv for me the celebrations were all about meeting  and sharing the fun with friends,  at their house or at mine as I hosted the cake and create Jubilee event with the girlies. We will never see another Diamond Jubilee, this was a special occasion indeed.
